Former Rwandan soldier turned gospel artist and peace advocate, Apostle Dr. Jean Saflo, has released a powerful new song titled “I rise Africa by Dr Jean saflo” (Africa, Rise Up), a call for African awakening, unity, and sovereignty.

Now residing in Norway, the Rwandan-born artist is no stranger to national service—having once served in the Rwandan Patriotic Army (RPA-Inkotanyi) during Rwanda’s historic liberation struggle. Today, he fights a different battle: the struggle for Africa’s mental, political, and economic liberation—through music.

🌍 A Song for the Continent

Released on YouTube, “I rise Africa by Dr Jean saflo” is more than just a melody—it is a political and spiritual statement that aligns with the bold Pan-African vision of President Paul Kagame of Rwanda and Captain Ibrahim Traoré of Burkina Faso, two outspoken African leaders advocating for true independence from neo-colonial influence and foreign manipulation.

🗣️ “I rise Africa by Dr Jean saflo! Mwihishe inyuma y’imiryango mpuzamahanga, ahubwo mwimenye!”
(Africa, rise! Stop hiding behind international institutions—know yourself!)

The song is performed in four major African and international languages:
🇫🇷 French – to reach Francophone Africa and the diaspora
🇬🇧 English – for global understanding
🇸🇿 Swahili – as a unifying African lingua franca
🇨🇩 Lingala – a tribute to Central Africa and Congolese resilience

🎤 Jean Saflo: Music With a Mission

Apostle Dr. Jean Saflo is no newcomer to impactful songs. On his YouTube channel, he has released multiple gospel and prophetic songs addressing peace, African dignity, unity, and spiritual revival.

In “I rise Africa by Dr Jean saflo,” his message is bold and timely:

  • Condemning hidden foreign control over African nations
  • Encouraging self-reliance and cultural confidence
  • Praising leaders who speak truth to power
  • Uplifting the youth to take pride in their identity

He mentions that too many African leaders are still bowing to pressure from international organizations, instead of defending their people and resources.

His voice, from Norway to Africa, continues to bridge the prophetic, the political, and the poetic.

“Africa has everything we need—what we lack is confidence, unity, and a bold vision. That’s what I sing for.” – Apostle Dr. Jean Saflo
